Rural Development and Gender Issues (RUDEG) Department
The Rural Development and Gender Issues (RUDEG) Department focuses on improving rural livelihoods through targeted interventions in gender inclusion, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and agricultural extension services. It supports women, youth, and rural communities by promoting sustainable development practices.

Divisions Under RUDEG
Women and Youth Development (WYD) Division
This division is dedicated to empowering women and youth in agriculture and rural enterprises by providing: Advocacy for gender inclusion in rural economic activities, Training on agribusiness opportunities for women and young entrepreneurs, Gender-sensitive policies for agricultural development, Skills development for increased participation in agriculture.

Rural Infrastructure and Institutions Development (RIID) Division
The RIID division enhances rural development through infrastructure and institutional strengthening. Key areas include: Development of rural roads, irrigation, and storage facilities, Strengthening rural cooperatives and farmer organizations, Policy support for rural infrastructure planning, Strategies for sustainable rural development.

Enterprise Development Management (EDM) Division
This division fosters entrepreneurship and business growth in rural areas by providing training on: Agribusiness startup and expansion strategies, Value chain development and market access, Business planning and financial literacy for rural enterprises, Capacity building for micro, small, and medium agribusinesses.

Extension Management (EM) Division
Agricultural extension services are crucial for knowledge transfer and rural advisory support. This division focuses on: Strengthening agricultural extension services and outreach, Training extension officers in modern agricultural techniques, ICT-driven extension solutions for farmers, Community-based participatory approaches in extension services.
