AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (ADEM)

AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (ADEM)
ADEM is one of the three management training departments. The department is responsible for capacity building in the area of agricultural development. The divisions in the department are:

  • General Management Division.
  • Agricultural Finance and Rural Credit Division (AFRC).
  • Computer Training & Information Management Division (CTIM).
  • Agricultural Project Management Division (APM).

 

COMPUTER TRAINING AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CTIM)


 

CTIM Provides Management training using ICT. The division equips ARMTI participants’ in the use and application of the computer information system and technology, they also support all ICT activities in the Institute.

Some of her Specific roles includes:

  • Provide management training using ICT such as:
    • Computer- based office Mgt. skill development for officers in both public and private sectors.
    • Application of ICT for agric. & rural development programmes.
    • Effective networking of ICT in rural management.
    • Basic computer training for middle and senior officers & managers.
    • Workshop on web searching for agric. research scientists & development officers.
  • Provide computer application training for other courses in the Institute.
  • Maintain the Institute Computer Systems.
  • Manage the Institute Internet facilities.
  • Manage the Institute website.

AGRICULTURAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (APM)


 

APM division facilitate and coordinate capacity development for agricultural project staff. The division provide prerequisite skills and techniques for monitoring and evaluation officers in the Agricultural and Rural Development (ARD) sector.

The division is mandated to perform the following specific functions:

  • Facilitate the design of appropriate monitoring and evaluation system for agric. and rural project officer for sustainability.
  • Delivery of training sessions on agricultural project management as well as other related areas in the ARD sector.
  • Facilitate the consultancy and advisory services to clientele.
  • Conduct management research, special and diagnostic studies.
  • Prepare business plan and proposal writing.

AGRICULTURAL FINANCE AND RURAL CREDIT DIVISION (AFRC)


 

AFRC division is saddled with the responsibility of disseminating management information in the area of Agricultural finance and rural credit through training.

Some of the functions of the division includes:

  • Training management staff in the area of Agricultural credit both in the public and private sector.
  • Identification of management training needs in agriculture and rural financing.
  • Developing the competence and skills of managers in the area of loan recovery issues.
